ちなみに、「皇帝ペンギン」を全米配給したアメリカのワーナー・インディペンデント・ピクチャーズは、同作をドキュメンタリー部門に出品する予定だという。ちなみに、これまで「皇帝ペンギン」はアメリカで7110万ドル（約80億円）を稼いでいる。
