映画における対位法
もともとは、音楽で、それぞれ独立して進行する二つ以上の旋律を同時に組み合わせて楽曲を構成する作曲技法のことを指し、Wikipediaで検索しても音楽のことが書かれています。
しかしながら、建築や映画、文学などで音楽の対位法の手法を応用して、二つの対位的な雰囲気の様式、情景、主題、音楽などをわざと組み合わせて作品を構成する手法。
精選版 日本語国語大辞典 より
具体的には、例えば登場人物が悲しむ場面で、わざとハッピーで楽しい音楽をつけ、その登場人物の悲しむ場面を、よりいっそう際ださせる手法です。
これらの手法は、多くの映画で取り入れられてますが、今回は、僕が印象に残っている巨匠・黒澤明の「野良犬」と同じく巨匠であり、鬼才でもあるスタンリー・キューブリックの「時計じかけのオレンジ」を取り上げます。
尚、スタンリー・キューブリックの「時計じかけのオレンジ」は、映画の１場面ですが、黒澤明の「野良犬」は、三船敏郎扮する刑事と凶悪犯人との対決を描いた重要なラスト近くのハイライトシーンであるため、黒澤明のファンもしくは興味のある映画ファンでこれから、もしくは将来的にこの「野良犬」を観ようと考えている方は、動画は、観ない方がよいと思います。

映画における対位法： 音楽における対位法は全くわからないのですが、映画の中の対位法とは、相反する、逆のイメージのものを組み合わせて、そのシーンを印象深いものにすることです。
黒澤は、この対位法に随分、興味があったようですが、この『野良犬』において、ラストの犯人と三船敏郎演ずる刑事役との対決シーンの場を、お花畑に設定し、優美なピアノ曲と子供達の牧歌的な歌声を背景において、このラストシーンを印象深いものにしています。
『酔いどれ天使』での三船敏郎の強烈なヤクザ役が、大衆に印象づけられてしまったことを、黒澤明監督は、気にしており、この『野良犬』では、あえて刑事役と配しました。
それも、隠れたもう一つの対位法といえるかも知れません。

僕の印象に残る映画での対位法の1つです。
これは、名画『雨に唄えば』(1952)で使われる土砂降りの中で、あの映画音楽でもよく掛かる名曲『雨に唄えば（SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN）』をジーン・ケリーが歌い踊る感動的なシーンを逆手に取った対位法です。
おそらく、当時でもこの「時計じかけのオレンジ」を観ていた観客層が、名画『雨に唄えば』を観ていたとは思えないのですが・・・
