全米の人気コミックを映画化し、豪華俳優陣が大挙して出演することでも話題の映画「シン・シティ」。このほどPRのため、原作者で監督のフランク・ミラーと、出演者のミッキー・ローク、デボン青木、ブリタニー・マーフィが来日し、9月26日、東京・新宿のパークハイアット東京で会見を開いた。
最初に「撮影中、最高だった日は？」と聞かれたミラー監督が、「ミッキーの撮影が終わった日だね（笑）」と答えたのを受け、ロークも「同じく撮影が終わった日が最高だったよ（笑）」と冗談気味に返して場を和ませたが、ロークは続けて「僕は怠け者なので、今回は最高の努力ができた。だからそれが終わった日は最高だったんだ」と真面目にフォロー。ミラーの原作コミックを忠実に再現した映像は「我々俳優にとって、原作に忠実にしようということは演じる上で制約になったが、制約があったからこそクリエイティブな仕事ができた」と語った。
また、これまでハリウッドと距離を置いてきたミラー監督は今回、ロバート・ロドリゲス監督の説得で共同監督を務めるまでに至り「驚くほど監督業が好きになった。それもひとえに献身的な俳優たちとの仕事が楽しかったから」と役者たちを持ち上げ、「『2』の脚本がもうじき出来上がり、来年1月から撮影を開始する」と、早くも続編に取り掛かっていることを明かした。10月1日よりロードショー
