リネージュⅡのNCソフトが新しい試みを始めました。

それは、「ギルド・ウォーズ」というもうすぐ始まるオンラインゲームです。
この「ギルド・ウォーズ」のゲームコンセプトは、”忙しい人でも十分に楽しめるオンラインゲーム”です。
このゲーム、βテストに参加していますが非常に面白いです。
そう様子は、おいおい。

すでにベータテストは終了していますので、残念ながらβテストに参加する事はできません。
正式サービスは、１月２７日の正午から。

で、何が新しいかと言えば、その料金体系です。

普通のオンラインゲームなら、月額、幾らとかという課金制度がありますよね。それにFFなど日本が開発したオンラインゲームならパッケージソフト料金が掛かりますよね。

ところが、この「ギルド・ウォーズ」は、





月額でしたら、なんと９８０円。普通のオンラインゲームの月額が平均１５００円程度を考えると、これだけで随分、安いと思えます。

この安くなっている理由はわかりませんが、βテストをやる限り、ゲーム内容が貧弱という訳ではありません。むしろ面白い！です。

ところが、これとは別にパッケージ商品（Amazonで５９８０円）を購入すると月額料金が掛からないという画期的なシステムになっているのです。
そうすると６ヶ月以上、ゲームをするとしたら、パッケージを購入した方がお得ということになりますよね。

この月額９８０円というのは、非常に敷居が低いと感じさせます。
現に僕は、９８０円、払って数ヶ月やった後、面白ければパッケージを購入しようと考えています。

ただ、僕にはこの“安さ”には警戒しています。
世の中、安い物には、それなりの事情とか、からくりが存在すると考えるからです。




NCソフト（大阪に日本法人も立ち上げました）は、一体どんな戦略を考えているのでしょう。

ゲーム内容が、しっかりしているという事は何がしか考えているとしか思えません。
考えられるのは、既に中国・韓国のオンラインゲームでは普通となっているように、何かのアイテムを購入すれば、それが実際のお金が掛かるというシステム。

もう一つは、何らかの手抜き。
バージョンアップをしないというのは、オンラインゲームにとって「死」を意味するので、あまり考えられないでしょう。
予想されるのはGMコール等のメーカー側（NCソフト）の対応が従来のオンラインゲームよりも手抜きをするのではないかということが考えられます。

しかし、ゲーム雑誌等で、それなりにオンラインゲームの世界で日本よりもかなり進んでいる中国･韓国のオンラインゲーム事情の情報を集めている僕でも、これ以上の予想はできません。

このＮＣソフトの新しい試みを見守りたいと考えています。
もしかして日本ばかりだけでなく中国・韓国のオンラインゲーム業界に大きな波紋を投げかけ、その業界を大きく変革するかもしれないというほどの新鮮でチャレンジにあふれた試みだと考えています。

なんらかの安さのからくりが判明すれば、安心してゲームできるというものです。
